Privacy policy
Last updated: 28 September 2026
One More Time (Pty) Ltd (“One More Time”, “we”, “us”) makes power banks from single-use vapes and sells them through this website. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use the site or buy from us, why we collect it, who we share it with and the choices you have. We process personal information in line with South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).
Who is responsible for your information
One More Time is the responsible party. You can reach us, and our Information Officer, at info@1moretime.co.za or at 48 Kotzee Road, Observatory, Cape Town, 7925.
What we collect
- When you place an order: your name, email address, phone number and delivery address, what you ordered, the delivery option you chose, any order note, and any discount code you used. Your payment is handled by our payment provider on their secure page; we never see or store your card number. We receive a confirmation that the payment succeeded and a payment reference.
- When you contact us or join our mailing list: your name, email address and whatever you write to us.
- When you browse: your cart is kept in your own browser’s storage until you check out or clear it. We use analytics tools (currently Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager) that collect device and usage information such as pages viewed, approximate location and browser type. See “Cookies and analytics” below.
- When you recycle a vape with us: if you hand devices in at one of our collection points we do not record who you are. If a send-in programme is offered later, its details will be added here.
We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and our products are not sold to minors. We do not sell personal information.
Why we use it
- To take payment, prepare and deliver your order, and send you your confirmation, tracking and delivery emails (performance of our contract with you).
- To answer your messages and handle returns, refunds and warranty claims.
- To keep records we are required to keep by tax and consumer protection law.
- To send you news and offers by email, only if you asked for them. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To understand how the site is used and keep it working, secure and improving (our legitimate interest).
- To detect and prevent fraud and abuse of the site.
Who we share it with
We share only what each partner needs to do its job:
- Payment provider: processes your card or wallet payment on its own secure page under its own privacy policy.
- Courier: receives your name, phone number and delivery address to deliver your parcel and send you tracking updates.
- Email delivery service: sends our order and marketing emails on our behalf.
- Hosting and database providers: our site and order records run on Google Cloud. Some of these servers are outside South Africa; the providers are bound by contract and by data protection laws that give at least the protection POPIA requires.
- Analytics providers: as described under “Cookies and analytics”.
- Authorities: if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
If One More Time is ever sold or merged, your information may be transferred to the new owner under the same protections.
Cookies and analytics
The site itself sets no tracking cookies. Your cart and your recent choices are stored in your browser’s local storage, which stays on your device. Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, may set cookies to measure how visitors use the site; you can block these with your browser settings or an ad blocker without affecting your ability to shop. We do not use advertising pixels at present; if that changes, this section will be updated first.
How long we keep it
- Order records: five years after the order, as required by South African tax law.
- Messages sent through the contact form: until they are dealt with, and then for up to two years in case of follow-up.
- Mailing-list details: until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you.
- Analytics data: according to the analytics provider’s retention setting, at most 26 months.
How we protect it
Order data is stored in an access-controlled database available only to the people who fulfil orders, all connections to the site are encrypted, and our internal tools sit behind company sign-in. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information and we will tell you and the Information Regulator if a breach affecting you ever occurs.
Your rights
Under POPIA you may ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you, to give you a copy, to correct or delete it, or to stop processing it for a particular purpose (for example, marketing). You may also object to processing based on our legitimate interests, and you can withdraw consent at any time where consent is what we rely on. Email info@1moretime.co.za and we will respond within a reasonable time, usually within 30 days. Deleting order information we are legally required to keep is not possible until that period ends, but we will tell you if that applies.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za or complaints.IR@inforegulator.org.za.
Changes to this policy
We will post any changes on this page with a new “last updated” date. If a change materially affects how we use your information, we will also tell you by email if we have your address.
